O'Fallon Photo Club Home

The O'Fallon Photo Club is a group of photographers, both professional and non-professional, who share a passion for photography. We are a non-competitive group and believe that by sharing with each other, we grow as better photographers ourselves.

We meet at the Renaud Spirit Center on the second Wednesday of every month at 7 o'clock pm. The meetings are open to anyone interested in attending or joining our group.

We have an annual group show at the Renaud Spirit Center, sponsored by the Cultural Arts Department of O'Fallon every January.

May 2008 we are working on Project 23.

We do "assignments" each month as an exercise to just get out and shoot. Projects we've worked on in the past: Calendar for the Historical Society, 3' x 5' Photo banner display in O'Fallon's city parks in celebration of the 175th anniversary of our town. We are currently working on a new project that will be discussed at our February 2008 meeting. All members are invited to participate in these projects. We also have educational meetings on studio lighting, portrait photography, macro photography, nature photography, several photoshop workshops, and have enjoyed invited guest speakers at our meetings. Just recently we've developed a "sharing library" of various photography books and magazines. There is a committee in place to coordinate photo shoot field trips; another to update members of activities and events going on around the area that would be interesting to photograph.
This year we will be working on Project 23 where we will be documenting life in O'Fallon for a nine day period early this summer.

Please be sure to check all the pages on this site, add your comments in the thread section. I have added a Photo SOS page and another page for our Monthly Assignment Photo Gallery. Check the heading on the Calendar each month for the suggested assignment. You may also find Our Favorite Reads of interest as well as Photoshop Tips.
