We had a great turn out at the Rendezvous Cafe'. 31 members. It was a packed room. Gary Rose did a wonderful presentation on "Modern Flash Photography". We're sure everyone picked up a few tricks to try out or came away with something new they didn't know. Thanks,Gary, for taking the time to put together a great presentation for all of us.

Do you love Hummingbirds? Saturday August 22, is the Hummingbird Celebration at Cape Girardeau Nature Center from 8:00am - 4:00pm. No registration is required. Cathie Hutcheson, Master Bander, will band Hummingbirds throughout the day beginning at 8:00am. Location: Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center located at North Cape county Park off Kingshighway just east of interstate 55 at exit 99. If you are interested in volunteering your time for the Life Is Good fundraiser on October 17, please let Pam know. Last year we were there from around 9:00am until 5:00pm shooting photos. We had all the photos burned to a CD, then donated them to the event. Maybe you can't do a whole day, but could volunteer a few hours. Pam's e-mail is palirish@sbcglobal.net .

The mini-trade show is at 5:pm and the seminar begins at 6:00pm.
This workshop is the same night as our monthly meeting; however Gary Rose will come to our rescue again. He will host the September meeting for us. Your assignment is to take pictures using flash photography, and bring them to the September meeting with your camera and flash.
