Has anyone ever had to recover data from a drive that went bad? If so, any recommendations????

This was actually an external hard drive. I ended up sending in, but they said data was not recoverable. They could send to another party, but it would cost in the thousands to possibly recover it.

I was looking for what I should be shooting now for the march meeting.

The assignment for March is "SMILE". There actually is a gallery page for this that you can add to. I'll have Cathee write something up for the calendar.
